1. About pikup.in

pikup.in ("we", "us", "our") is an office carpooling platform that connects verified employees for shared daily commutes. We facilitate connections between users — we are not a transportation provider, taxi service, or ride-hailing company. We do not employ drivers or own vehicles.

2. Eligibility

To use pikup.in, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be employed or working professionally in the city where you register
• Provide a valid work email address for OTP verification
• Agree to and comply with these Terms of Service
• Not have been previously suspended or banned from our platform

3. User Accounts & Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
• Keep your profile information current and up to date
• Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person
• Immediately notify us at info@pikup.in of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in inappropriate behaviour.

4. ID Verification

pikup.in offers an optional ID verification feature. By submitting identity documents (Aadhaar card, company ID, passport, or driving license), you confirm that:

• The document belongs to you and is genuine
• You consent to our admin team reviewing the document for verification purposes
• The document will be stored securely and not shared with other users or third parties

The "ID Verified" badge is displayed on your profile as a trust signal. It does not constitute endorsement by pikup.in.

5. Carpooling & Rides

pikup.in is a platform for organizing shared commutes among colleagues. You acknowledge that:

• All ride arrangements are between users — pikup.in is not a party to any carpool arrangement
• The driver is personally responsible for their vehicle, driving, and compliance with traffic laws
• Passengers ride at their own risk and are encouraged to verify co-commuters before joining a pool
• Cost splitting is handled informally between users — pikup.in does not process any payments
• pikup.in is not responsible for any accidents, losses, or disputes arising from carpool arrangements

6. Cost Splitting & Payments

pikup.in provides tools to calculate and track cost splits. However:

• All monetary transactions are directly between users (e.g. via UPI, cash, bank transfer)
• pikup.in does not collect, hold, or process any money
• pikup.in charges ₹0 platform fees — we are entirely free to use
• We are not responsible for payment disputes between users

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users in any way
• Provide false information or impersonate another person
• Use the platform for any commercial transportation or ride-hailing purpose
• Post offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to scrape, hack, or disrupt our platform
• Use pikup.in for any illegal purpose

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without notice.

8. Ratings & Reviews

Users may rate and review co-commuters after rides. Ratings must be:

• Based on genuine personal experience
• Not malicious, defamatory, or retaliatory
• Submitted honestly — one rating per person per month per pool

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on pikup.in — including the name, logo, design, code, and text — is owned by pikup.in or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our platform without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

pikup.in is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that matches will always be available. We are not responsible for the actions of other users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pikup.in shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to accidents during rides, payment disputes, or loss of data.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of pikup.in after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
